North Riding FA is delighted to announce the appointment of Conor Ledgeway as our new Referee Development Officer.
Conor is an active Level 3 Referee, with 12 years’ experience as a referee, mentor, coach, and observer. Conor will officially commence his role with us on 3 January 2024.
Currently a secondary school PE teacher, Conor brings with him creativity, determination, and a passion for developing others within refereeing.
Conor has been a member of the FA Centre of Refereeing Excellence programme since 2016, representing the county on international and domestic exchanges. These experiences, alongside refereeing on the Northern Premier League and acting as an assistant on the National Leagues, will make him a strong addition to our team.
Conor hopes to utilise his existing networks within North Riding to maintain the successful work that has taken place over recent years in the recruitment, retention, support, and progression of referees across the county.
“I would like to say a massive thank you to our existing referee volunteer workforce, who do an amazing job,” said Conor.
“I really appreciate all of your efforts and can’t wait to get started in my new role and working with you all.”
We look forward to Conor starting as Referee Development Officer in the New Year.
