Vacancy - Board Safeguarding Champion

Become part of our Board, with a focus on safeguarding.

North Riding FA is currently looking to recruit a Safeguarding Champion to join North Riding FA’s Board.

We are the local governing body for football and are responsible for the governance and development of football across Teesside and North Yorkshire working in the Local Authority areas of Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland, Hambleton, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Scarborough and York.

The successful applicant will be appointed as a Director of the Association. 

We are looking for individuals with a professional background that demonstrates skills and experience in safeguarding young people and adults at risk, who also have a passion for widening access to grassroots football across Teesside and North Yorkshire.

These are exciting times for North Riding FA as we make preparations to finalise our 2024-28 strategy to develop football across the county.

This is a volunteer role in which you will be expected to attend Board meetings approximately six times per year, as well as supporting the safeguarding staff team. You will also collaborate with fellow Directors and other stakeholders in the wider strategic development of the organisation.
