Our findings from the Referee Youth Voice Report can now be viewed in full

North Riding County FA has today released its 2022 Referee Youth Voice Report in full, with key findings available to be viewed in the document below.

Each year, North Riding FA obtains feedback from its network of youth referees to find out how they feel they are being supported, what they would like to see improved and how they feel when performing their duties as a referee.

In this report, the key findings from the responses include:

97% of referees rated the quality of referee development in NRCFA as either excellent or good

97% of referees said that NRCFA supported them in their role as a referee

79% of referees said they’d like to progress their refereeing career and move up the refereeing pyramid

100% of referees said they’d received a NRCFA U18 yellow armband

86% of referees wear their yellow armband to identify them as a youth referee

68% of referees said they’d experienced personal abuse from club officials or parents

Thank you again to all referees and parents who took the time to complete this feedback.

As always, the responses will be analysed in detail by the Referee Development Team, with the feedback hugely valuable to the way we, as a County FA, support, develop and engage with our referees throughout all stages of their journey.
