Coaching Workshop for all grassroots coaches
We are delighted to invite grassroots coaches to our first Coaching Workshops Event, which will be taking place on Saturday 2 October at Middlesbrough Football Club’s Herlingshaw Centre (TS6 9AE).
The two workshops will run from 9.30am to 1.30pm and will cover the following topics:
Workshop 1: Why our players play
-Because they love the game: The joy of scoring and stopping goals
-To be more skilful: How can I help players to learn and understand more about the game?
-To be with their friends: How might I use football as a vehicle for developing social skills?
Workshop 2: The match day experience
-What do positive coaching behaviours look like on match day?
-What decisions might I need to think about before, during and after the game?
-How do I use match day to support player learning and skill development?
These workshops are being delivered by the FA’s Technical Team, focussing on developing more skilful players, more inspirational opportunities (experiences and environments) and more transformational coaches.
The workshops are fully funded by the County FA, therefore there will be no cost to coaches attending. Booking must be made via the link below and places are limited, so please make sure you sign up quickly. A confirmation email will be sent out prior to the event.

These workshops will be the start of our continued professional development (CPD) programme for coaches within North Riding, where we will be looking to run a series of events throughout the season across the county to support our grassroots coaches.
We look forward to seeing you on 2 October.
