North Riding FA has a vacancy for the position of Chair of the Inclusion Advisory Board. This individual will also sit on the Board of Directors to act as the strategic lead for our equality, diversity and inclusion work.
We are currently looking to recruit an Independent Chair who will lead the IAB to support our organisation. The successful person will have significant knowledge and experience of operating at a strategic level in either the Public or Private Sector and equally bring a breadth and depth of knowledge or experience in equality matters.
You will need to be able to think strategically and have the capacity to guide the implementation of local inclusion provisions. You will need to be an advocate of the role of football within inclusion and anti-discrimination with a proven ability to work collaboratively and challenge constructively.
It is an exciting, but challenging opportunity with the incentive of shaping our County FA’s inclusion work and positively impacting the landscape of football at every level.
Help us achieve our vision
We are seeking an inspirational Chair who will help North Riding FA to realise our vision of widening participation across the county and making football truly inclusive.
It is important that the Board reflects the communities that we serve and we are therefore particularly interested in attracting people with disabilities and those from ethnic minority communities.
All candidates will need to have a real empathy with the work of North Riding FA, good business and communication skills and be willing to commit to attending regular Board meetings, as well as strategic and stakeholder events.
Board meetings are normally held in Stokesley. This is a voluntary position but Board Members receive a casual car user allowance of 40p per mile to attend meetings.
For further information on the role please phone Steven Wade, Chief Executive Officer on (01642) 717777.

The organisation will provide appropriate additional work facilities for disabled applicants.
North Riding County FA is committed to equality of opportunity and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
