Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision not to deliver any new FA Referee Courses until late July 2021 at the earliest, with further information to be available from May.
Following consultation with our Referee Development Team, and in view that the FA Referees Department will be releasing a brand-new course syllabus in early 2021, we have made the decision to wait until the new syllabus is available before scheduling any new courses.
This decision will also allow us to provide the appropriate level of support to the cohort of trainee referees that attended one of our FA Referee Courses shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic started. This group of referees will receive full support including a ‘refresher’ session in the near future and ongoing support via remote conference facilities to ensure that they are ready to go out and officiate within local football when the time is right.
Furthermore, our Referee Development Team are currently working on plans to offer full support to our remaining referee workforce in the coming weeks and months.
