Aspiring referees in North Riding have two final opportunities to begin their officiating journey during the 2019/20 season, with two FA Referees courses set to run in the county.
The first, taking place at Acklam Green Centre in Middlesbrough, will begin on Wednesday 22 January 2020 with an introductory workshop.
This is followed by an alternative course getting underway at Poppleton Football Club in York on Tuesday 28 January 2020.
Both courses are structured around the same content and will give attendees an excellent introduction into the role and demands of a football official.
Over three days, those booked onto the course will attend a Safeguarding Children workshop, an FA CRC event, as well as completing a practical day at the conclusion of the course.
Each course costs £130, with learners over the age of 14 eligible to enrol. Within that price, attendees can receive plenty of benefits including referee accessories, Laws of the Game 2019/20, an FA Referee Course Handbook, as well as access to a whole host of support and advice networks.
