North Riding County FA is delighted to announce that the following referees have been confirmed to be part of FA CORE (Centre of Refereeing Excellence) for season 2019/20.

• Dane McCarrick, Level 3 - Contributory Referee

• Macauley Gibson, Level 5 - Senior County Referee

• Alex Bourner, Level 7 - Junior Referee

• Liam Smith, Level 5 - Senior County Referee

• Jonathan Gill, Level 4 - Supply League Referee

• Thomas Ross, Level 4 - Supply League Referee

• Harvey Websdale, Level 7 - Junior Referee

• George Roberts, Level 4 - Supply League Referee

• Conor Ledgeway, Level 4 - Supply League Referee

• Jake Webster-Wright, Level 7 - Junior Referee

• Dean Whitwell, Level 5 - Senior County Referee

Ross Joyce, North Riding FA Referee Development Manager, said: “I am delighted that 11 North Riding FA referees have secured a place within the FA Centre of Referee Excellence (CORE) programme for the forthcoming season.  

“Over the past couple of years the Referee Development Team here at North Riding FA have worked extremely hard in providing first-class referee development and coaching provisions to enable our up-and-coming officials to show their potential on the national stage and subsequently become selected for exciting opportunities such as this.

“FA CORE will provide each of them with additional training and development to that of our NRCFA CORE programme, which not only provides monthly training camps focusing on Law, fitness, game management and regular coaching provisions, but the opportunity for regular e-learning via our new Referee Education Centre.

There has never been a better time to become a referee and the opportunities now available with the very best levels of support make refereeing a worthwhile role to take up. At North Riding FA we will be working with around 60 referees as part of our Centre of Referee  Excellence programme next season, and we hope to see many more of them progress up the referee pyramid in the coming years.”
