Marathon Success for Steven

North Riding FA Chief Executive Steven Wade recorded a superb time of 3:48:29 in the ASICS Manchester Marathon on Sunday 7 April - raising a fantastic amount of money for Alzheimer’s Society in the process.

Steven was one of over 20,000 runners who signed up to the 26.2 mile challenge, which is also the UK’s second largest marathon.

It was all in aid of North Riding FA’s official charity partner, Alzheimer’s Society, who campaign to find a cure for and support people living with dementia in the UK.

Someone develops dementia every three minutes and there is currently no cure. Alzheimer’s Society - the largest and most influential dementia charity in the UK - is attempting to tackle that issue head on.

Thanks to Steven’s efforts and other NRCFA activities, we have now raised £975 for Alzheimer’s Society this season – but we still have work to do to reach our goal of £2,000.
