North Riding Needs Referee Coaches

We require coaches to reside in all areas of the County FA - Dales, Middlesbrough, Scarborough & York. These exciting new positions report directly into the Head of Referee Development Group (HORDG).

The role will include the following key responsibilities: 

  • Working with a small cohort of Referees throughout the season
  • Attend a number of Referee Development Group Training Camps
  • Provide match day coaching at both Middlesbrough & York City FC Academy training grounds on Sunday mornings - approx. 2 Sundays per month as agreed with the HORDG
  • Complete a Referees Coach report when observing Referees in action with key strengths and areas for development to be identified for their review
  • Maintain regular contact with a group of Referees and ensure they receive the appropriate support
  • Working closely with the HORDG, Referee Development Manager (RDM) & Head of Referee Training & Development (HORTD) to develop the RDG further
  • Attendance at a Referee Coach Development Workshop

Referee Development Group Coaches will be paid a £350.00 honorarium per season plus benefits.

To apply you need to be passionate about, and committed to, the development of refereeing at a local level and be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines as the role will be challenging
