As a Coach, your skills are essential for teaching and developing players at every level of football and can never be underestimated. To give their players the best opportunity to develop, achieve their maximum potential and importantly, enjoy the game, coaches must be aware of the latest techniques and philosophies involved in coaching the game.

Football is changing. Players are quicker, stronger and more creative. Teams work harder, cover more distance and face more challenges than ever before. As the game gets quicker, the role of the coach can never be underestimated. North Riding FA provides a series of training courses and development opportunities for coaches from Level One right through to working in partnership with the FA in providing guidance to those coaches that wish to progress to the most advanced UEFA Pro Licence.

The courses we offer Coaches are packed with expert knowledge and cover all areas of player development.

There are three strands of coaching courses:

1. The main strand covers the entry Level One coaching certificate and leads up to the UEFA Pro License held by top club and national side managers.
2. The second strand features specialist courses, including Goalkeeping, Futsal and Disability Football.
3. The third strand covers the widely acclaimed ‘Age-appropriate’ courses, including The FA Youth Award.
