Spotlight: Northallerton Town Juniors
Northallerton Town Juniors have introduced an excellent way of engaging with their players beyond training sessions and matches, providing an opportunity for them to have a say in the way the club is run and developed.
Last season saw Northallerton Town Juniors introduce a new Youth Committee, made up entirely of players that represent various age groups throughout the club.
The brainchild of the club’s Welfare Officer, Emma, and supported by other volunteers at Northallerton Town Juniors, the inaugural season incorporating the new Youth Committee was a true success.
Across the board, the club enjoyed a fantastic season, supported by the implementation of a number of excellent ideas originating from the club’s Youth Committee. A highlight of these ideas included the format of this year’s Presentation Day at the club.
At North Riding FA, we can’t wait to see further improvements taking place at Northallerton Town Juniors which have originated by the young supporters of the club.
It’s an outstanding idea and great way to forge a stronger connection between players and clubs. It would be amazing to see more youth football clubs adopt a similar concept – and if you do, let us know!
