As the FA have implemented a three-year renewal policy for all criminal record checks, this means that only CRCs/CRBs issued since January 2010 will be accepted for those working in youth football for the coming season.
If match officials (Referee Development Team members) without an FA CRC state that it is their intention to officiate within youth football during the season, they must have successfully completed the CRC application process with immediate effect.
Individuals will be responsible for the cost of their own CRC; the charge for football volunteers is currently £10. The Association has communicated extensively with all members of the referee workforce over the past twelve months and arranged numerous verification evenings around the County FA to help support people complete this process.
