Meet the North Riding FA Match Official Consultation Group

We've officially launched our inaugural ‘Match Official Consultation Group'

North Riding FA is delighted to confirm that today, we officially launch our inaugural ‘Match Official Consultation Group’ (MOCG).
Following a period of advertisement earlier this year, we have now elected nine local referees onto the group who will help ensure that as a County FA, we can better support, develop, retain and listen to our referee workforce.

As a group, they will formally meet up on at least four occasions per year to discuss all things refereeing and how as a County FA, we can continue to improve and support all referees. The MOCG will be asked to liaise with local referees and associations and be available should any of our referee workforce like to raise any matter either in person or in confidence.

The MOCG will be asked to offer views on a number of our refereeing policies, and to challenge to ensure we offer the very best support and can consider the views of all our grassroots referees.

Members of MOCG will also be invited to other meetings and lead on some projects to promote and develop refereeing here in North Riding County FA.

Please see below confirmation & contact details for the elected members of MOCG;

One of the first assignments for MOCG will be to attend an online consultation meeting with members of the North Riding FA Senior Management Team (SMT) on Monday 26 April to provide feedback on the following key areas:

1. What do you think is the role of North Riding FA?
2. What are the biggest challenges that you face as someone involved in grassroots football?
3. What do you think are the key areas where grassroots football requires support from 2021-24?
4. Can you identify any opportunities for grassroots football from 2021-24?

If you have any matters you would like to feedback, please contact one of our MOCG members (using details in the image above) over the next few weeks and offer your views.

We're delighted to take another positive step for referee development and our commitment to improving our communication and support to referees.
