New Referee Observer Course

BECOME A REFEREE OBSERVER

Are you passionate about referee development? Do you want to play your part in helping our next generation of referees make their way up the promotion pyramid?

Why not become a North Riding County FA Referee Observer?

Referee Observers play a vital part in the development and progression of our match officials at all levels of the game within the county. They are in effect the custodians of the Laws of the Game, ensuring they are applied to a high standard.

Assessments play an increasingly greater part in the promotion and development of an official’s right throughout the game. You do not need to have officiated at the top level of the game to become a Referee Observer - experienced officials at Level 5 and above can make a difference in enhancing the careers of our referees.

Referee Observers are paid a fee of £22 per observation completed at County FA level, with the use of our online SISRA administration system for Observers to upload observations.

You will be involved in observing referees who are appropriate to your level of experience, and you can also still be an active referee and observe for North Riding County FA when available. To become a qualified Referee Observer you will need to take an Observers course.
