Referee Support Policy and Helpline

Ahead of the 2018/19 season, North Riding FA would like to update officials on the Association’s Referee Development Support Policy and 24 Hour Referee Hotline, which is available to all match officials.

The policy has been put together for all match officials on how they will be supported by North Riding County FA, and has been developed by Referee Development Manager, Ross Joyce, with the support of the North Riding FA Referee Development Committee.

It has been designed to clarify the process and procedures that North Riding FA will adhere to and can be expected to deliver to its referee workforce.

North Riding FA fully appreciates how difficult the role of a match official can me – and wants to ensure that all its officials have the best possible support available to them at all times.

Meanwhile, the Referee Support Hotline is in place for all match officials who may experience an issue during or after a game with regards to the possible conduct of a team, is subject of an assault or improper conduct, and requires support with submitting any disciplinary reports or any other issue, no matter how minor.

We ask that Match Officials save the following number within their phones – 0330 112 2932 – and should they have any issues, please don’t hesitate to make contact. The North Riding FA Referee Development Team will contact you within 12 hours, but typically the same day.

The number is an automated number and is charged as a local number, inclusive in mobile phone packages.

For any questions relating to the North Riding FA Referee Development Policy and Referee Support Hotline, please contact Ross Joyce, North Riding FA Referee Development Manager, via ross.joyce@northridingfa.com or call 01642 717779.
