North Riding Refs Excel With Pavers

North Riding FA are delighted to announce a partnership with PAVERS LTD and our Centre of Referee Excellence Programme for the 2017/2018 season.

Pavers is supporting the County FA's Centre of Referee Excellence programme, a development initiative aimed at identifying talented referees, providing quality training and coaching alongside the opportunity to advance through the FA Refereeing pathway.

The partnership will support around 30 talented referees throughout the 2017/ 2018 season to receive additional training and development at monthly training camps.

Ross Joyce, Referee Development Manager at North Riding County FA commented; “We are very grateful to Pavers for the very kind sponsorship of our Centre of Referee Excellence Programme which will allow us to provide additional training and resource that is required to up-skill our emerging referees and allow them to progress through the referees pathway.  It is great to secure a partnership with such a respected and quality brand within the North Riding area”.

Pavers is a family-owned footwear business operating in the UK and Ireland that currently has more than 100 stores, all managed from the head office in York. The company has grown rapidly in recent years, both in retail operations and online.  In 2011, Pavers launched its 24-hour TV footwear shopping channel on Sky 669 to allow customers to purchase shoes in their own homes via their television.

Mark Granger, Director of Operations at Pavers commented; “Pavers  are a family business with a keen interest in helping young people develop in a number of different areas. We are delighted to be able to support the NRCFA in their work with young referees in the county and hope in our small way it helps their personal development and assists the county in achieving their goals. These types of projects fits well with our values and our commitment to community projects. We wish the County FA every success with their continuing work in this area”
