Football Development Officer Needed

Durham FA are looking to recruit a full-time Football Development Officer with specific focus on education and futsal.

This is a full-time (37.5hrs) position with a primary focus on delivering and implementing the Durham County FA Education Programme as identified in the National Game strategy, developing and managing the Football Futures Programme and all aspects of organising Futsal leagues and events within the County. 

The key responsibilities for this role are to:

  • To support and build links between Schools, Colleges, Universities and FA Charter Standard Clubs
  • Develop and deliver programmes involving all aspects of Education related to the National Game Strategy
  • Develop and increase the activities relating to the current Football Futures Programme.
  • Manage, Increase and deliver the current Futsal Programme.

The successful candidate will need to have a knowledge in Football Development and an understanding of Education establishments within the County. You will need an understanding of Futsal and grassroots football structures and development pathways at local, regional and national level. You will need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level and be able to plan, set and achieve objectives within strict deadlines.

Candidates must also demonstrate team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised on their own initiative. Excellent communication and customer service skills will be expected.

The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 11th August 2017. Candidates for interview will be notified on Monday 14th August and Interviews will take place on Friday 18th August 2017 with an expected start date of Monday 25th September 2017.
