Securing the league title for the first ever time is just reward for Poppleton after seeing the team progress to senior football after many successful years in Junior Football and the success ensures the natural progression of players through into adult football.

The team only lost one League match all season and are looking forward to playing North Riding League football next season after opting out of promotion due to increased travel costs and college commitments of their young side.
