North Riding County FA's Development Team is here to help you with matters relating to leagues, team development, female coach education bursaries, school club link projects, taster sessions and club meetings - all to ensure the development of Girls and Women’s football continues within the County.
So whether you’re a beginner at Primary School, a teenager who has never played before or a twenty something who wants to get back involved after not kicking a ball for a few years, there is an opportunity for you!
The County FA currently offers the chance for all youth female players to play football in either the CITY OF YORK GIRLS FOOTBALL LEAGUE or the NORTH RIDING & TEES VALLEY GIRLS LEAGUE, Women players within the County are able to play in the NORTH RIDING WOMENS LEAGUE
North Riding County FA also has teams competing at the higher levels of the youth female game with the County FA having secured 2 Licenses for Girls Centre of Excellence - NORTH YORKSHIRE GIRLS CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE & TEESSIDE SPORT GIRLS CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE. The FA Centre of Excellence for girls is an enhanced coaching centre for U9, U11, U13, U15, & U17 age groups.
Apart from playing, there are also opportunities for Girls and Women to get involved in coaching, leading and officiating within football. The North Riding County FA would welcome more qualified coaches and referees within its borders.
