Awarded by the Football Association, this short 3 hour course provides club representatives and volunteers with the crucial basic skills in Emergency First Aid including resuscitation and life-saving skills.

Who is this course for?

This course is open to anyone over the age of 16 who would like to be trained to deal with emergency first aid and treatment of injuries. The North Riding FA will also work with individual clubs or leagues who believe they have sufficient demand to warrant a club/league specific Emergency First Aid Course at their own venue. The minimum number of participants required for a course to run is 10.

What can I expect from the course?

3 hours in duration, managed by an experienced and fully qualified FA Emergency First Aid Tutor, the course format is classroom based and will provide you with basic advice on how to preserve life, limit the effects of injury and promote recovery. On completion, your Emergency First Aid certificate will be valid for 3 years and is a pre-requisite to gaining a ‘pass’ across all FA Coaching qualification levels. You are advised to wear loose, comfortable clothing as part of the workshop will involve being placed into the recovery position during practice demonstrations.

On completion of the course, you will have covered;

• Mouth to mouth resuscitation
