Re: Change to CRB Form as of 1st July 2010 Please take note of this important message as Clubs go though the affiliation process for the forthcoming season.
The Government is carrying out a review of the Vetting and Barring Scheme (VBS), however this does not affect the existing FA requirements for CRB checks, which continue to apply. CRB checks are a regulatory requirement in football, for those who are working in roles with children e.g. coaches, managers, welfare officers, referees, first aiders and people who drive on behalf of the club should continue. The priority is for those who have not yet had a check to complete one.
As of 1st July all affiliated Clubs with youth teams will have to use a new CRB Form for any checks that are applied for. The new CRB form can be downloaded on theright hand side. The FA will be sending out via the Club Welfare Officer (CWO), a comprehensive Pack explaining how to use the new forms as well as the new CRB Forms. This will go to all Clubs with youth teams that have affiliated for the 2010 - 2011 Season.
