Linthorpe Athletic Galaxy FC was created in the Summer of 2007 by a small group of friends wanting to play some competitive football. They signed up to the Teesborough League (Sunday) and got taught some harsh lessons by the more established teams, including an 18-2 thumping at the hands of Half Moon.
However, they gradually improved the squad and gained strength and confidence as a team before finishing in mid-table respectability in their first season and gaining promotion last season.
