Many Referees have been reporting misconduct to their County FAs by using either the Multi Caution Match Report Form or Standard Misconduct Form, which are downloadable by clicking on the link under Related Documents.
With the introduction of the new version of Office called “Microsoft Office 2007” it has been highlighted that files saved and sent by Referees in this new software can’t be opened by Office 2003 because of the .xlsx extension placed at the end of the completed reports.
We would like to highlight to all referees that files should be “down saved” (i.e. saved to an earlier version). To do this, you just need to go to the Office button, select “save as” and then “save as type” “Excel 97-2003 Workbook” before you send it to us.
The problems occurs with any spreadsheet that included advanced formatting ( lists, macros..etc). We have notified Microsoft of this but in the grand scale of things I am sure they would like everyone to move over to the new version of Microsoft Office 2007.
We are looking at a phased introduction of Office 2007 (most of you will probably have it at home) and more information on this will follow.
If in the meantime you have any other question or problems please do not hesitate to contact us.
