Developing partnerships between schools and their local Charter Standard Clubs is one of the FA’s key priorities. This initiative therefore, is football’s commitment to the delivery of the Physical Education and School Sport Club Links (PESSCL) strategy document which sets out to ensure that all children, whatever their circumstances or abilities, should be able to participate in and enjoy physical education and sport.
As part of the way forward, Club Link schools who are committed to developing sustainable links with FA Charter Standard Clubs and additional football opportunities within schools will receive equipment bags and access to England tickets along with a certificate to show they are an FA Club Links School for that year.
The FA and County FAs will continue to support 1,000 schools a year and remains committed to supporting PE and sport in schools with the new National Game Strategy identifying the following core areas:
• Club Links
• Schools competitions
• ESFA four-year Strategic Plan
• Leadership and Volunteering Programme
• Continued Professional Development.
