Education Training Modules

Below are the 10 education modules that can be delivered to support the development of football within School Sport Partnerships across the County. There are course available to support both primary and secondary school teachers.

KS2 Curriculum (6 hours 45mins)

Course to support non PE specialist Primary School Teachers and coaches working in Primary Education - supports teachers to provide football as part of the National Curriculum and coaches who are going to deliver in Curriculum time. Enables students on the course to understand the 4 key strands of the NC and apply them in a practical setting to ensure HQ delivery of PE.

Out of School Hours Learning (4 hours)

Course to support teachers and coaches to plan and deliver appropriate OSHL/SCL programmes to engage the 5-11 age group who are not currently active. Supports School-Club links programme/developing tiered levels of opportunity.

Junior Football Organisers (Teacher) (6.5 hours)

Course to train teachers to deliver the JFO course within their school - supports the SIS programme.

Junior Football Organisers (Student) (6.5 hours)

Course to train students aged 14-19 to be young leaders, supports Step into Sport.

Introduction to Coaching Disabled Footballers (4.5 hours)

Course to support teachers working in special or mainstream Education, coaches or young leaders. Gives idea's on practical delivery and the inclusion spectrum - supports Club links programme/Competition programme.

Beginners Guide to Futsal (3 hours)

Course for Secondary School Teachers, young leaders or coaches; basic introduction to the game of Futsal. Aims to support competition programme/framework.

Football Mentor (6 hours)

Course for Secondary School Teachers to support other teachers (Secondary or Primary) to
develop football in their school either in or out of the curriculum. 

Mentoring Young Leaders (3 hours)

Course for teachers, FE staff and charter standard club coaches responsible for young leaders as part of step into sport.

Working with teams (6 hours)

Course for Primary or Non specialist Secondary Teachers, Level 1 coaches & Young leaders. Provides practical ideas on how to run teams including work around team talks, team philosophy and formations; supports competition programme/framework.

Handling and Movement (3 hours)

Course for Primary Teachers, Level 1 coaches and young leaders; practical ideas to develop movement and handling skills that can be used as an introduction to goalkeeping and build on fundamental movement skills
