The FA is now widely considered to be the world's leading governing body in the development of disability football. In the coming years all County FA's will be increasing their commitment to developing disability football, from the grassroots, all the way through to England squads.
Here at North Riding County FA we are determined to provide all disabled people with the pathway to reach their potential either as a player, coach, referee or administrator. With our commitment to the FA Disability Strategy there is much planned including: the devlopemnt of a Regional Disability Centre of Excellence in 2008; promoting both the North East and Yorkshire Ability Counts Leagues; supporting Middlesbrough and Copmanthorpe Ability Counts club to grow; devloping a county Junior Ability Counts League; developing a more formal competitive structure for the delivery of football in special schools and providing greater access to training courses for volunteers.
