
Jamie Pover
Jamie has been appointed to take the role of Rural Football Development Officer which will cover the districts of Hambleton and Richmondshire.
The vision for this new post is to:
- Have one co-ordinated football development programme for the two districts which will help minimise duplication and will help maximise the effectiveness of resources invested.
- Identify key gaps in provision within the county and work to increase participation through coaching, support and delivery.
- Working with Charter Standard Clubs
- Increase the number of people volunteering to sustain key football clubs
- Increase the number of school children accessing good, quality coaching regardless to their ability
- Work with Social Inclusion groups to offer activities for 12-18 year olds at key times
The position is funded for 5 years and has had contributions from:

- Thrisk Schools Sports Partnership
- Risedale School Sports Partnership
- North Yorkshire Sport
- Richmond Anti Social Behaviour
Jamie was previously in a role in the district of Easington where he worked on a Football Foundation funded social inclusion project. He currently coaches at Manchester City Academy and also is involved in the North East Junior Ability Counts League and is League Co-Ordinator.
